TITAN BANQUET
The Titan Banquet will be Friday, November 18th at the Yankee Hill Country Club.  This year the Alumni Association will be presenting the Hall of Fame Award to Charles (Fritz) Craft (Class of 1973).  The Honorary Alumni Awards will be presented to Gayle French and Fred Gustin. The guest speaker will be Aaron Davis.  Tickets are $30 per person. Just drop us an email if you're interested in attending - Norrisalumni@windstream.net

Norris High School was created in 1965.  It was the result of consolidation of the Cortland, Firth, Hickman, Roca and Panama school districts.  In 1969 a new elementary building was completed on 160 acres the newly formed District had purchased at 68th  and Princeton Road.  The Junior/Senior High School was completed and ready for occupancy in February 1970.  Since that time the District has seen constant growth which has resulted in seven expansions.  The campus now includes three separate buildings for elementary, middle school and high school students as well as an all-weather track, football field, softball complex cross-country course, greenhouse and soccer field.  The District recently purchased an additional 120 acres across 68th Street for future expansion.

ALL SCHOOL REUNION - The date has been set . . . Saturday, June 23, 2012. at the Shrine Center at Highway 77 and Saltillo Road.  Tickets will be available at the Alumni Homecoming tailgate, Friday, September 30th and there are only 400 available. We will post more details as they become available. To make this a huge success we will need your help to get the word out.  We could also use help with organizing, planning, decorations, entertainment or program and clean-up.  If you're interested in being a part of this big event, contact us through Facebook or email direct at NorrisAlumni@windstream.net.

PLANNING MEETING: There will be planning meeting for the All-Class School Reunion on Tuesday, October 25th at 7:30 at school (use the south entrance). All are invited to come and help plan.

Soar With the Titans - the Story of Norris High School.  This book was written by Wes Shepard is now available. To purchase a copy contact Wes at 420-489-5387 or email him at WShepard2@aol.com. The books are also available at the First State Bank in Hickman and Firth,  the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Panama and Firth and at First National Beatrice in Cortland. The price is $20 

         In Memory of Deceased Alumni
Byron Krauter (Class of 1972),  our 2009 Hall of Fame recipient passed away  on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in Round Rock Texas after a battle with cancer. 

Randy Huenink, Class of 1977, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 19, 2010

Nominations to be considered shall be received prior to July 15 of each year.  The induction selection process will be conducted by the Board of Directors.  Unconfirmed nominations will be held for future consideration for  a period of three years.  An induction ceremony will be held during the month of November.  Nominations may be submitted to:  Norris Alumni Association, P.O. Class Lists - To help alumni who wish to contact friends and classmates, or organize reunions, the Alumni Association maintains a computerized database of past Norris graduates, as well as the graduates of Panama and Cortland.  We hope to include graduates of Hickman, Firth and Roca. The Alumni Association does not provide its mailing lists or other information to outside organizations for commercial purposes.  Any use of these lists for purposes not related to the Norris High School Alumni Association is strictly prohibited.
