Welcome

Norris High School was created in 1965.  It was the result of consolidation of the Cortland, Firth, Hickman, Roca and Panama school districts.  In 1969 a new elementary building was completed on 160 acres the newly formed District had purchased at 68th  and Princeton Road.  The Junior/Senior High School was completed and ready for occupancy in February 1970.  Since that time the District has seen constant growth which has resulted in seven expansions.  The campus now includes three separate buildings for elementary, middle school and high school students as well as an all-weather track, football field, softball complex cross-country course, greenhouse and soccer field.  The District recently purchased an additional 120 acres across 68th Street for future expansion.

 Whatever your interests or abilities are there is a place for you. 

Are you experienced with web design? Help modify and maintain our website so that it provides a wealth of information and interaction for all alumni.   A place to connect with old friends or find new ones  A place to keep up with current alumni events – the possibilities are endless.

Are you an event planner or organizer?   Help with our current events like the Alumni Basketball tournament and homecoming tailgate, or help plan a new event like an all-school reunion or an Alumni volleyball tournament.

Do you have experience with database management?  Help manage and update the Alumni database so that reunion committees have easy access to their class list.  Help create an alumni career database that will be a networking resource for jobseekers.

Do you have good people skills?  Help plan and organize fundraising events that will help with Alumni Association raise funds for alumni events, programs and scholarships that will benefit the Norris School District. 

Are you into marketing or journalism?  Help promote the Alumni Association with newspaper articles, radio broadcasts and create flyers for events.  Help create a marketing strategy and designs for Alumni products.

The Class of 1979 will be having their 30 year reunion July 24, 2009. 

GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Norris Foundation Titan Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2009 at Yankee Hill Country Club. $400 per team.  Includes lunch served courtesy of  Backyard Burgers and dinner provided by Yankee Hill Country Club.  Hole prizes including a "Hole-In_One"  vehicle from Beatrice Motors.  If you want more information about the tournament or would like to be a Corporate or Hole Sponsor contact Larry Grosshans at 791-2186 or email him at jlg44745@windstream.net

The Titan Banquet was held Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Yankee Hill Country Club.

Annual Tailgate
The Alumni Association held their annual tailgate party before the Homecoming Game on September 19th against Aurora.  The weather was perfect and we had a great turnout.

The 10th Annual Norris Alumni Basketball Tournament was held March 28, 29, and 30. Check out the Pictures.

Nominations to be considered shall be received prior to July 15 of each year.  The induction selection process will be conducted by the Board of Directors.  Unconfirmed nominations will be held for future consideration for  a period of three years.  An induction ceremony will be held during the month of November.  Nominations may be submitted to:  Norris Alumni Association, P.O. Class Lists - To help alumni who wish to contact friends and classmates, or organize reunions, the Alumni Association maintains a computerized database of past Norris graduates, as well as the graduates of Panama and Cortland.  We hope to include graduates of Hickman, Firth and Roca. The Alumni Association does not provide its mailing lists or other information to outside organizations for commercial purposes.  Any use of these lists for purposes not related to the Norris High School Alumni Association is strictly prohibited.
